Position - Administrative Assistant
Job Description
Strabane & District Caring Services is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant to work Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.
Key Tasks:
- Provide admin support to Domiciliary Care, Payroll and other departments.
- Process incoming/outgoing telephone calls and maintain accurate records.
- Process reports in relation to wages.
- Respond to staff enquiries relating to wage payments.
- Calculate domiciliary care worker mileage.
- Data input to software package.
- Maintain records.
- General administrative duties such as typing, photocopying, scanning, sending emails, filing, sorting mail, stock take etc.
- Cash handling duties when required.
- Perform reception duties when required, in an efficient, professional and courteous manner.
- Adhere to procedures relating to the proper use and care of equipment and material for which the role has responsibility.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and the general public.
- Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance and adherence to relevant health and safety procedures.
Any Other Duties
This description of the post is intended to provide a basic outline of the primary functions, the post-holder will in addition have additional responsibilities agreed in accordance with his/her Manager. It is also anticipated that the post-holder will be required to be flexible when responding to operational needs of Strabane & District Caring Services and this will also from time to time create variance from the role described.

Essential
- Relevant qualification in Administration (Level 2 or above) OR Minimum of two years’ experience working in an administrative /receptionist role
- Maths & English GCSE (Grade A – C or equivalent)
- Minimum one-year experience working in an administrative role
- Demonstrate proficiency in the use of IT packages in particular Microsoft Office
- GDPR knowledge
