Position - Support Worker

We are seeking part-time compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. 16 hour and 20 hour contracts available.

The Support Worker will work on an alternating rota involving the following shift patterns:

Rota = 4 days x 3 days:

Week 1: Mon, Tues, Sat, Sun

Week 2: Wed, Thurs, Fri

Specific hours to be discussed during interview but hours will be between 9am - 8.30pm

The Support Worker works as part of a team providing services to vulnerable individuals (including frail elderly, those with physical and learning disabilities and mental health) and their carer. The worker may provide personal care and low level care tasks to the individual needs of the client assessed by the appropriate professionals. Tasks may: Befriending service; Chaperone; Assisted shopping/shopping and small home maintenance job.

• · 6 months experience in formal care setting.
• · NVQ Level 2 in Care or equivalent.
• · Knowledge of Domiciliary Care Minimum Standards.

Having a criminal conviction will not necessarily prohibit you from working with Strabane & District Caring Services.
